A visit to artist dynasty at the city of Hariphunchai
9/9/18 In this early morning at the Dhamma Park and Art Gallery Inson Wongsam, I woke up and went to take some photos of the wooden houses that Uncle Inson had built to keep his arts and to welcome visitors. It was just one of the five houses that I can take some photos as my time was quite limited. I saw light in one of the wooden houses so I walked there to see whether there was something interesting or not. Reaching the door, I scented the heavy smell of oil paintings in the whole room. There were many oil paintings in there. Then a comparative question appeared in my mind. I asked myself that day what was I doing? Uncle Inson who was 84 years old but he could still have power to create more works of art in such extent.
I strolled to the next house and saw uncle Inson polished the head of wooden walking cane with a sand paper. He said Professor Phanom brought this to him but the old head was not beautiful so he decided to change the head of walking cane to the new one to be more beautiful and easier to handle. Now I understand why uncle Inson works with art all the time throughout his life.
Uncle Inson invited me to walk with him to the morning market. We walked and talked for a while to Pasang market. We met Nong Kob, a young woman from Singh Buri who was fond of art and she helped me to take some photographs. Today is uncle Inson's birthday to celebrate his 84 years of age. Uncle Inson had a small and simple party at home with some of his friends, neighbors and acquaintances. Professor Suluck praised that Inson's birthday party was simple but good. Only paying respect to nearby guardian spirits and not to bother monks to attend the ceremony as this was only a small party. All in all, I pondered about food, way of life and soul. A famous country song of the country singer Suraphol Sombatcharoen came to my thought immediately.

เยือนอาณาจักรศิลปิน ณ เมืองหริภุญชัย
9/9/18 เช้านี้ที่อุทยานศิลปะสถาน ลุงอินสนธ์ วงศ์สาม
ผมตื่นเช้าเดินถ่ายภาพเรือนไม้ต่างๆที่ลุงอินสนธ์ สร้างไว้ เป็นที่อยู่ของงานศิลปะและไวัรับรองแขกที่มาเยือน นี่เป็นเพียง หนึ่งในห้า ที่พอมีเวลาเก็บภาพได้ ผมเห็นแสงไฟแต่ไกลในเรือนไม้หลังหนึ่ง ทำให้ต้องเดินไปดูสักหน่อยว่ามีอะไรน่าสนใจ เมื่อถึงประตู กลิ่นสีน้ำมันคละคลุ้งอบอวลไปทั้งห้อง ภาพเขียนสีน้ำมันขนาดใหญ่วางซ้อนเรียงราย ทำให้เกิดคำถามในเชิงเปรียบเทียบขึ้นในใจว่า วันนี้เราทำอะไรอยู่ ลุงอินสนธ์ในวัย 84 ปี ท่านยังมีพลังสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะมากมายขนาดนี้เชียวหรือ..?
ผมเดินชมต่อไปยังเรือนอื่น พบลุ่งอินสนธ์นั่งในมือ ถือกระดาษทรายขัดหัวไม้เท้า ลุงบอก อาจารย์พนมเอามา แต่หัวเดิมมันไม่สวย เลยเปลี่ยนใหม่ให้มันสวยเหมาะกับมือจับมากขึ้น เห็นได้ว่าตื่นมาลมหายใจชีวิตลุงอินสนธ์ทำงานศิลปะอยู่ตลอดจริงๆ
ลุงอินสนธ์ชวนผมไปเดินชมตลาดเช้า เดินไปคุยไป พอเหงื่อได้ออก ถึงตลาดป่าซาง โดยมีน้องกบหญิงสาวชาวเมืองสิงห์ ผู้ชื่นชมงานศิลป์ เดินมาด้วยช่วยถ่ายภาพวันนี้เป็นวันเกิดครบรอบ 84 ปี ลุงอินสนธ์ มีงานเลี้ยงที่บ้าน ท่านเชิญชวนเพื่อนบ้านให้มาร่วมงาน โดยบอกว่าทำบุญบ้าน อาจารย์สุลักษณ์ ออกปากชมว่า อินสนธ์เขาดีนะทำพิธีแบบเรียบง่ายไหว้ศาลพระภูมิเจ้าทีเจ้าเรือน ไม่ต้องนิมนต์พระมาสวดให้มันยุ่งยาก น่ารักจริงๆเป็นอีกเช้าที่ได้ดื่มด่ำอารมณ์ อากาศ อาหาร วิถีชีวิต และจิตวิญญาณ ที่ป่าซางทำให้นึกถึงเพลงป่าซางของครูสุรพล สมบัติเจริญ ...อดไม่ได้ที่จะฮำเพลงนี้ขึ้นในใจ...โอโอ๊โอ...ป่าซาง ดินแดนความหลังนี้ช่างมีมนต์ ใครได้ไปเยือนยากที่จะเลือนลืมได้สักหน คล้ายว่าป่านี้มีมนต์ ดลหัวใจให้เฝ้าไฝ่ฝัน.....

Inson Wongsam : The Legend
Inson Wongsam. His works comprise both painting and woodcarving.
Many of his works are the legacy from a journey he made after he graduated from Silpakorn University in 1961. Before venturing abroad, Inson rode his Lambretta Scooter and traveled to various provinces in Thailand in 1961. A year later, he held a successful solo exhibition of the works he had accomplished at a tourist organization in Bangkok to raise personal funds for his long journey to foreign countries. With encouragement and support from Italian professor Silp Bhirasri (Corrado Feroci), the founder and the first dean of Silpakorn University who gave Inson valuable advice to find additional inspiration in foreign nations, he carried his art equipment and rolls of woodcut prints that depict scenes of rural life in Thailand to represent his home country. He also exhibited these woodcut prints along with new works he created during the journey.
In 1963 he held many exhibitions in various major cities such as New Delhi, Lahore, Karachi, Tehran, Istanbul and Athens. He also went to visit Rome and held an exhibition in Florence and then moved to live in Paris temporarily from 1963 -1966. He opened a workshop and studio there.
After that, he moved to Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, USA. He married a French/American woman. Their son is the co -owner of Inson Dubois Wood, a New York based Architectural and Interior Design firm. He is an architect, a graduate of Harvard University and has a rich background of life like his father. The objective of his company is to help discover, reveal and refine design identity. In over 40 acres in New York, beautiful woodcarving collections from tasteful and famous people in America can be seen in the showroom. The firm received awards such as New York Architect Interior Designer, Living Scandinavia Style, Lux Interior Design, Jan 2015 and New York Space.

ด้วยภาพเขียนและไม้แกะสลัก หลายชิ้นงานเป็นมรดกตกทอดจากการเดินทาง
หลังจากที่จบการศึกษาจากมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรในปีพ.ศ. 2504 ก่อนที่จะท่อง
เทียวไปต่างประเทศ อาจารย์ อินสนธิ์ขี่สกู๊ตเตอร์ แลมเบร็ดต้าเดินทางไปยังหลาย
จังหวัดในประเทศไทยตลอดปีพ.ศ. 2504
ปีต่อมา อาจารย์อินสนธิ์ ประสบความสำเร็จในการจัดนิทรรศการเดี่ยวของผลงาน
ที่ได้ทำที่องค์กรท่องเที่ยวในกรุงเทพมหานครเพื่อสมทบทุนส่วนตัวสำหรับการ
เดินทางระยะไกลไปยังต่างประเทศ ด้วยการให้กำลังใจและการสนับสนุนจาก
ศาสตราจารย์ชาวอิตาเลียนที่มีนามว่า ศิลป์ พีระศรี ผู้ก่อตั้งและคณบดีคนแรกของ
คณะจิตรกรรม มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ที่ให้คำแนะนำที่มีคุณค่าแก่อาจารย์ อินสนธิ์
ให้ไปค้นหาแรงบันดาลใจเพิ่มเติมในต่างประเทศ อาจารย์อินสนธิ์พกพาอุปกรณ์
ทำงานศิลปะ ม้วนภาพพิมพ์แกะไม้ที่สะท้อนถึงฉากชีวิตชนบทในประเทศไทยเพื่อ
เป็นตัวแทนนำเสนอประเทศบ้านเกิด และยังได้จัดนิทรรศการแสดงผลงานภาพ
พิมพ์ชุดนี้ไปพร้อมกับผลงานชิ้นใหม่ๆที่ผลิตขึ้นระหว่างการเดินทาง
ปีพ.ศ. 2506 อาจารย์อินสนธิ์ได้จัดนิทรรศการตามเมืองสำคัญๆ เช่น นิวเดลี
ลาฮอร์ การาจี เตห์ราน อิสตันบูลและเอเธนส์ และยังได้ไปเยี่ยมชมเมืองโรมและ
จัดนิทรรศการที่เมืองฟลอเรนซ์ จากนั้นจึงย้ายไปอยู่ที่ปารีสชั่วคราวตั้งแต่ปี
พ.ศ. 2506 – 2509 และได้เปิดห้องทำงานและสตูดิโอขึ้นที่นั่น
หลังจากนั้นอาจารย์อินสนธิ์ได้ย้ายไปอยู่ที่แอตแลนติก ไฮแลนด์ รัฐนิวเจอร์ซี
สหรัฐอเมริกา และได้สมรสกับสาวชาวฝรั่งเศสสัญชาติอเมริกัน
ขณะนี้บุตรชายอาจารย์อินสนธิ์เป็นเจ้าของInson Dubois Wood บริษัทรับ
ออกแบบสถาปัตยกรรมและตกแต่งภายในที่ตั้งอยู่ที่เมืองนิวยอร์ก ทำงานเป็น
สถาปนิกที่จบจากมหาวิทยาลัยฮาร์วาร์ดและมีภูมิหลังชีวิตที่น่าสนใจเหมือนกับ
คุณพ่อของเขา จุดประสงค์ของบริษัทคือค้นหา เปิดเผยและคัดสรรตัวตนแห่งการ
ออกแบบ (Discover, reveal and refine design identity) ในโชว์รูมที่พื้นที่
มากกว่า 40 เอเคอร์ ในเมืองนิวยอร์ค จะได้เห็นของสะสมไม้แกะสลักที่สวยงาม
จากบุคคลที่มีชื่อเสียงและมีรสนิยมในห้องโชว์รูม ที่ผ่านมาบริษัทยังได้รับรางวัล
ต่างๆ ดังนี้คือ New York Architect Interior Designer,
Living Scandinavia Style,Lux Interior Design (Jan 2015) และ New York
Space (1974)
