It can be said that Visoot Charoenporn was my mentor who was very skilled in nude painting. It is not an overstatement to say thay he was one of the best and the most interesting Thai artists in my opinion. he passed away many years ago. I would like to repeat again that he was truly the leader of art and he was the writer of Arts for Thairath Newspaper. His voice was loud and a bit raspy but clear. In my first meeting with him, he rode bicycles with his family at 700th year anniversary sports stadium in Chiang Mai. He also brought his three relatives along with him. After exercise, he loaded his bicycle behind his 4 wheel drive car. Jokingly, he laughed heavily and told me that he was a butcher at Mae Malai Market in Mae Taeng District Chiang Mai. It was so amusing and fun to know and meet him personally.
Visoot Chareonporn ดิฉันเรียกได้ว่า เป็น My Mentor เป็นชื่อศิลปินไทย ที่ถ้าพูดถึงงาน Nude Paintings ที่เป็น ที่สุดคนหนึ่งของศิลปินไทยที่น่ารู้จัก และต้องมารู้จักกันจริงๆ พร้อมดิฉัน ท่านเสียชีวิตไปหลายปีแล้ว ดิฉันพบว่า ท่านเป็นผู้นำ ด้านศิลปะตัวจริง มาก่อน การเป็นผู้เขียน งานศิลปให้ หนังสือพิมพ์ไทยรัฐ เป็นคนเสียงดังพูดจาชัดเจน วันที่ท่านมาถีบจักรยาน ที่สนามกัฬา 700 ปี จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ มีสาวๆสวย ที่เป็นญาติสนิทมาด้วย 3 คน พ่วงจักรยานไว้หลังรถยนต์ 4 Wheels ของท่าน บอกดิฉันพร้อมหัวเราะดัง ผมเป็นคนขายหมู อยู่ตลาดแม่มาลัย เชียงใหม่ .... He was really the one who inspired me to come back to learn painting as well as it was his encouragement that led me to write about my own story of my family especially about my grandparents. Many people in my family would like to record a story about it but after graduation from the university they all have no time to do it anymore. Many of them went to find new opportunities in USA. New York, Minnesota, Missouri, Lost Angeles,and California. After returning in many decades later, they all lost their dream in their childhood. For several years that I have been writing about Arts of Thailand. I was quite certain there are many people who are braver than me. There is no secret that our family that we are the family of artist. Please stay tuned for more of my personal stories and my past experiences like this one. I intend to write more and bring back some of my articles about artists who I interviewed. I wold like to call this story with this title "My Personal life as an Instructor, writer and collector in Chiang Mai Thailand. "
ที่เป็นผู้จุดประกายความคิด ให้นักเขียนอย่างดิฉัน กลับมาวาดรูป และ ดูเหมือนว่าจะเขาได้สร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้ดิฉันกลับมาเขียนเล่าถึงที่มาของ ตนเองและครอบครัวที่เกี่ยวกับคุณตาคุณยาย ที่หลายคนในครอบครัว ได้บอกเล่า หลายคนอยากบันทึกไว้ แต่เวลาหลังจากเรียนจบมหาวิทยาลัยกัน ทุกคนเกินทางไป ขุดทอง เรีบกง่ายๆ อยู่และกลายเป็นประชากร ของอเมริกาไปก็หลายครอบครัว ทั้ง New York Minnesota Missouri, Los Angeles Californiaกว่าจะกลับมาอีกที ก็แทบจะหมดวัยฝัน ดิฉันคือรุ่นหลาน เขียนงาน Arts of Thailand เป็นสิบๆปี เขียน แต่ยังไม่มีใครกล้าหาญเท่าดิฉัน กระมัง ทุกอย่างไม่ได้เป็นความลับ เรามาจากครอบครัวอาร์ติส เรื่องเหล่านี้ จะมาเป็นตอนๆนะคะจะสลับกับ ศิลปินท่านอื่นๆ ถ้าเป็น เรื่องเล่าของครอบครัว แต่ในหัวข้อเดิม...
Later I found out that Visoot Charoenporn was very ill but he tried to came to my house to teach me art. He came to Chiang Mai after he finished the ancient city project in 2005. I met him and his family for the first time in 2007. He later gave me two oil paintings Laem Singh and Lotus Pond, Doi Luang Chiang Dao. He said to me "Keep them well These two paintings will be over 500,000 Baht in the near future."
เวลานั้นดิฉันพบว่า คุณวิสูตร เจริญพร ป่วย มากแล้ว แต่พยายามเดินทางมาสอนและมาตรวจงานของดิฉัน ให้ความรู้ ทางศิลป ท่าน มาเชียงใหม่หลังจากมอบงานในเมืองโบราณที่เเล้วเสร็จ มาใช้ชีวิตในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ปี2548 เวลาที่ดิฉัรู้จักกับท่านและครอบครัว เป็นปี2550 ดิฉันได้ภาพวาดสีน้ำมันชื่อแหลมสิงห์ และ สระบัว ดอยเชียงดาว ท่านบอกดิฉันว่า เก็บไว้เถอะ คู่นี้ไม่นานจะราคาจะ ถึง 5 แสนบาท
What I could remember about Visoot is that he was the president of Viengping Villa Golf club with the land space almost 500 Rai (Thai land measurement) in Chiang Mai. Due to Tom Yam Goong Crisis, the company was on the verge of bankruptcy and cannot be sold to Land and House project which is the famous housing company in Chiang Mai . I have known that he ate macrobiotic food for many years. One day he went to Bangkok to have party with friends for several nights. After coming back home I received the news that his wife sent him to the hospital as she found the wine order every night. Visoot told me that the artist profession could make so much money enough to buy many expensive wine. before his death, there was a reassuring news that his friends who ran the company together receive some money when Land and House bought the whole compound to make Siwalee housing project in Hangdong District which is the biggest house compound near Chiang Mai City.
ที่จำได้คือลุงใหญ่ เป็นประธานเวียงพิงค์วิลล่า กอล์ฟคลับ เนื้อที่เกีอบ 500 ไร่ในเมือง เชียงใหม่ ที่ประสบปัญหาทางการเงิน วิกฤติต้มยำกุ้ง ทีกำลังเสนอขายให้บริษัท แลนด์แอนด์เฮาส์ อยู่ ดิฉันจำได้ว่าท่านจะทานอาหารแมคโครไบโอติกส์ แต่เมื่อเดินทางไป กรุงเทพกลับมา ก็พบว่า ภรรยาของคุณวิสูตร ต้องพาเข้าโรงพยาบาล หลังจากทราบว่ามมีรายการของไวน์ มาทุกคืน อาชีพศิลปินท่านบอกว่าทำเงินได้มาก ไวน์แพงแค่ไหนก็สั่งมาทานกันได้หมด ...ก่อนที่ท่านจะเสียชีวิตก็ได้รับข่าวดีว่าหุ้นส่วนก็ได้เงิน กลับมาบ้างเมื่อแลนด์แอนด็เฮาส์ซื้อไปเป็นหมู่บ้านสิวลี หางดง ที่เป็นโครงการใหญ่ติดตัวเมืองเชียงใหม่ ที่สุด
